Spotlight: Linda Duncombe
From global banking to award-winning film production, Linda Duncombe OAM is a powerful example of Australian ambition, resilience and generosity on the world stage.
Most recently, Linda served as Executive Producer and Producer on the feature film The Queen’s Jewels, already recognised at international festivals with awards for Best Drama Feature and Best Director, alongside Linda receiving Best Producer honours.
But what makes Linda’s story truly remarkable is not just her professional success — it’s her deep commitment to giving back.
A proud Australian who grew up in government housing, Linda often speaks about the opportunities Australia gave her — access to education, a supportive community and the foundation to believe in what’s possible. That experience has shaped her values and her drive to contribute.
Giving back is part of Linda’s DNA.
She serves on multiple non-profit boards including the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, GRAMMY Museum, Habitat for Humanity International Greater LA, EnCorps and the Australian Wildlife Conservancy USA, and actively supports many others. Her contribution is not just financial. She is deeply hands-on.
Following the Californian fires, Linda personally worked alongside Habitat for Humanity Greater LA, helping to build homes, raise awareness and support those most in need.
Before her transition into film, Linda built an extraordinary global career in banking, including as Executive Vice President at City National Bank in Los Angeles, where she led digital transformation and played a key role in supporting the entertainment industry. During COVID-19, she led initiatives that enabled the distribution of over $1.8 billion in critical funding to businesses.
Her career pivot into film over the past 18 months is a testament to her mindset.
Linda says, “Being an Aussie gives me a strong belief in myself and to challenge myself.”
Recognised globally, including receiving the Order of Australia Medal, Linda remains grounded, generous and quietly impactful, someone who leads with purpose and a genuine commitment to others.
Linda embodies what it means to be a Global Australian — using success not just as an outcome, but as a platform to give back, uplift others and represent Australia with pride.
