Lorne Padman is a GRAMMY Award nominated producer and the President of Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records, Los Angeles. It hasn't happened overnight!
Lorne grew up in Perth and was first working in lighting and then as a DJ, before moving to Melbourne 20 years ago to pursue the music business. Lorne eventually became label manager at Vicious Records in Melbourne before being swooped up by Steve Aoki, who called him from LA when he was in Melbourne to run Dim Mak Records as Vice President.
He has said that for Aussies moving to the USA, you have a greater chance of success if you have an outgoing personality and are prepared to put yourself out there.
In 2024, it was announced that Lorne had been promoted to President of Dim Mak Records, a huge feat for a Perth boy who first took a risk moving to Melbourne and then onto Los Angeles. An amazing long career in the music industry!
